I almost forgot how horrible group work is, especially if your group mate acts like she knows EVERYTHING when she's just really horrible at her work because she's an ignorant fool. Its okay if you're young, nobody would judge you by your age but if you're lazy and manipulative then you deserve a scolding. My group mate just woke me up from almost sleeping to make me do her work? The fuck, obviously she deserves a scolding right.

I almost forgot how it feels to be angry. But i guess this is good because it boosts my ego. For once I get to show off how i am adequate at doing my work instead of feeling underachieving.

Anyway, my mini rampage on twitter just an hour before allowed me to do a mini survey. I tweeted 6 angry tweets about this situation and it was silence but then i tweeted "I shall imagine sex so i get less angry and more productive" and the immediately i get 10 mentions about that and several conversations that continue.

So busy! and tired. and emotionally draining.

it kinda feels like i'm running out of batteries. body aching, dizziness, nauseousness, gastric, horrible horrible gastric and flu happening all the time, as and when they feel like it. it sucks to feel old and have the same "body problems" as my mum when i'm only 18 going on 19. makes me feel as if i can't live long and although i think and say that i can't live pass 30, i would still like to because at 18 i still haven't accomplished normal things teens would have.

my book publication topic is gonna be on youth culture. My idea is something like teenager's problems? and thinking about it makes me depressed because firstly i'm so lazy to illustrate shit when i'm not good at drawing and secondly its rather depressing. i'm big on silent issues and i don't know how to solve them, much less write a book on it. but my tone of voice is mockery? So i guess it'd be easier.

Mock the hell out of youth culture because why don't everyone just leave justin bieber alone?
It is so annoying. Yes Zed Lepplin and Beetles and Curt Kobain are real musicians and justin bieber is cocky as hell and autotuned but HEY PEACE AND LOVE MAN.

Taipei Fine Arts Museum! so excited to see aiweiwei my face turned weird.

Anyway the Taipei Fine Arts Museum was so unexpectedly contemporary i love it. They had Yen Shui Long's life works which were really really impressive too. It was so much better than the Museum of Contemporary Arts Taipei because it was way bigger. But the MOCA's 2013 display was good too.

On the last day we were walking around our hotel and stumbled into this building called The Vertical Village only to find out that it was a Museum of Tomorrow? Quite impressive! Very modern and intriguing, about housing and stuffs. Spent over an hour making paper sculptures there.

The real koi. I miss all the fried chicken and milk tea already.

Bloody fantastic long trip. Longest trip the three of us ever took to somewhere on our on! Walked so much we all caved into body massages. We all agree that it was so good because we all had zero expectations, so everything that came was an add on and really fantastic. Zero expectation life is great! There were countless times whereas we all stumbled onto things we want exactly without having to try hard or try at all. It was really a great trip with my favourite people in the world.

Yey now i'm back but with flu, and i guess i still like hot summer to the cold autumn. I could barely stand wearing 6 layers of clothes by the 9th day.

Taiwan is GREAT! The weather is just nice for multiple layers of sweaters and cardigans but it goes hot and cold and hot and cold. However I can finally wear that sweater under a cardigan under a long coat with a scarf outfit. *-* So its greaaaaaaat!

It's only day one and we already tried three different milk teas and fried chicken. Ate super a lot at Zhong Li's night market and we haven't anything bad. Everything is so tasty here wowowowowow! I saw my dream oil slick dr marts here and tried it on too. SO PRETTY but so expensive like 300 bucks and its so flashy sigh. Shopping is okay only though because we're in Tao Yuan hopefully when we go to Taipei it'd be more fun! But its not like i'm really expecting this to be a shopping trip.

Everyone speaks super good chinese here it makes me feel so scared because everytime i accidentally mix english into the chinese the locals get confused a bit just like how i am confused when they speak super fast. Now i'm like reading all the chinese on the signboards like its some exercise ahaha. I never realised that chinese was really like a second language to me until now, always thought my chinese was good, damn.

My hotel has a jacuzzi tub and sauna in the room. It's so great omg why do we not have a tub I would spend my whole life in it.

And there is really something about washing your hair in a tub...

Hell ya finally finished this information design module.Could have done this in one, two weeks but it's spread out into a whole month thing, single module. Sometimes i don't know what the school is thinking.
Had such an unhappy time doing because sports is so irritating i hate sportsssssssssss. Plus their corporate colours are hard to love.Struggled so hard with the colours until I GAVE UP and changed the colours.

Been having ghost movie marathon with Enmian after class since yesterday because of the short class hours. Started off with Thirteen Ghosts which was good. Great great character design. I'm the Juggernaut in the Black Zodiac according to Cas, don't know how she found out but that means i'm the fiercest of them all, WHADDUP! The story was good though, funny too. Then Shutter again but this time in the dark photog room with two Shutter virgins Lihuan and Jeannica. It scared the fuck outta me again because it was dark... and stuffs.. and we were in the photog studio. Ju On today! Confusing stufffs, Ju On 2 next maybe.

School is such a good setting to watch horror movies because its scary but you're with friends who are scared too so its not that bad. Best of both worlds, took us long enough to find out.

I guess growing up has made me realize that approval from others is not important and that the best solution to an emotional problem is to rant and get over it.

I just realised that i never really liked any teacher in my life, maybe one, but that one's fucked up.

Teachers are so self-righteous and think they can solve everyone's problems because they care so much when its just that they just want to change people.

Its so scary, they're so manipulative and in the name of education.

I'm great!

I lost my helium virginity in an orgy in the photo studio late into the friday night. Very fun ;) I forgot to mention it amidst all my moping around.

Three days of hibernating at home, it's been great despite being bad. I feel really rested! But I don't know if i'm ready for school yet because there is never enough rest.

In like these 3 widely spread out days, I finished like 6/9 pages of logos for Corporate Identity. I guess I'd never be an overachiever who does like 12 pages, or actually an achiever who hits target, but i actually like what I've done.

My Kinetic Typography has been... stationary but at least I've started and maybe done like 1/9 of everything.

Can say that I'm actually pretty excited to do my school work, but i need more time... because I take it... slow...

Watching too many shows. Walking Dead is amazing and I kinda just wanna spend my whole life watching American Horror Story. Too much spook going on. Party Down is subtly amazing and my regulars are still on till they are not.

Just started watching American Horror Story and it scares the hell out of me, but yet its so addictive and the plot is so great. Its like criminal minds + desperate housewife + scary real life ghost stories. Keeps me on the edge, very scary but i need to watch it.

Gonna go to USS's Halloween Night tomorrow and i'm excited as hell! Been in a very halloween mood all month, for the first time of my life.

I've been watching so many movies because its the only thing I can do while I knit so as to not waste time. It's almost like I have no life but in fact, its true. School is new so is everyone around me now, which kinda sucks because change is hard, I should know.

Ghost World was a irritating movie and I don't get it. I hate how Enid hates everything and how Seymour is so old and inadequate, so inadequate that he actually wants a relationship with an obviously very lost high school graduate. It was so gross. & it's actually difficult to watch Enid get jealous about Rebecca and hate life andand everything because thats what i tend to do and... its ugly. But i appreciate what the movie is trying to say and, its so real. Very hard to watch something that's true and unflattering.

However they wore clothes that were very cute and had great dialogues and young Scarlett Johansson is as pleasing to watch as grown Scarlett Johansson, so was Thora Birch. So at least it was a memorable movie because it was so hard to watch but yet very aesthetically pleasing.

Back to school,

its kinda hard to get used to new people once again and as usual I like to give up and hide in a corner. So far it's been really tedious, and the lecturer didn't make it any better because he made us introduce ourselves and say a random fact about ourselves. Fuck random facts. So far mine has been all really bad and irrelevant to my life. In my sec 3 class i said, "I like korean boys" and i don't like them anymore. During year 1 orientation i said, "I am obsessed with Plants versus Zombies" and i don't play them anymore. This time i said, "I don't think Michael Cera is ugly," for the lack of a better "random fact". It sounds like it would last longer though.

So... tedious... I feel so gaowek thinking about it right now. Its so bad because its a first impression thingy and i don't like to define myself. & for sure there's always someone who "loves to sing". Which is not a good start, kinda. Fortunately I can't remember who that person was because I was busy feeling tedious...

At least we are taking really interesting modules now so it's a save! & its not as bad as going to Zhs...

But morning classes are the devil's spawn.

Five great films i've watched in the weekend

The first 4 all Wes Anderson productions in order of increasing appreciation. He had 6 movies, all these including Fantastic Mr Fox and Bottle Rocket. Mr Fox, i've loved and written about it long time ago. Bottle Rocket, I didn't really understand nor liked. But everything else is gold. His decorating skills really improved over the years and I like his works more as he age. Every film is a level up on his aesthetics and i love his love for Futura because i love it too. The last one is just a one of a kind movie.

1) Rushmore.

Bottle Rocket as Wes Anderson's first movie, was obviously very raw but you can still see his aesthetic essence and his philosophical-y ideals inside. The characters were so flawed it was a little hard to watch so it did not get on this list. This however,was a great improvement. More interesting plot-wise because there's always this little cliffhanger for me, as to will Max ever get his love and what is gonna become of this jack of all trades. His protagonist was a show on its own and to put him with those circumstances, its great. Cute the way he filmed some of Max's activities too.

2) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou was visually so much more stimulating. Cute red beanies for all and yellow submarines everywhere. The plot is a little better and less ambiguous because there was actually obvious an objective for this installment unlike the previous two movies. I think this is when Wes Anderson starts his whole family-childhood thingy. In Rushmore is was more rushy and the father was not a big character whereas in Steve Zissou is plainly about this Father-son relationship and their similar ambition.

3) The Royal Tenenbaums

I LOVE THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS. Fucking hate spelling the word though. Much better plot because there were subplots and all well written too. More on the narrative style which I love though and each character was just so well created and developed. I love the whole Margot and Richie relationship and every scene with her was so beautiful. She's so deep and yet shallow and meaningless at the same time, how. Also she looks so unique? for a lack of a better word. Polo dress with a big fur coat with those straight blonde hair and suddenly the smokey eye. Everything works so perfectly for her I'm so fucking jealous.

Everything in the movie is just insanely well decorated and so neat. I want to jump inside and live there forever. Kinda like Pushing Daisies or if Virgin Suicides was in Mexico. It's also now COMPLETELY about family. See how Wes Anderson levels up on everything? He's so smart, building up on what he's good at.

4) The Darjeeling LimitedThe Darjeeling Limited is yet another big up from the Royal Ts. It's now out in a beautiful country and everything in the train is beautiful. Not only is it about family now its about three adult siblings dealing with their root family problem and also their own family and relationship problems. More subplots, more amazingness. I have to say Darjeeling is my favourite because... it deals with death and birth and everything inbetween, beautifully and with ultimate neatness amongst the chaos of India. The part 1 of this, Hotel Chevaliar is also great, despite my dislike for Natalie Portman, because the visual is great... and so are the lines. I mean things like : "If we fuck I'm gonna feel like shit tomorrow" "That's okay with me" and "Whatever happens in the end, I don't wanna lose you as my friend" " I promise, I'd never be your friend. No matter what. Ever." and "I love you, I never hurt you on purpose" "I don't care". So gold. Where does he pull stuffs like these out from? I'm just a period and a relationship away from balling my eyes out watching them.

5) Stranger than Fiction

This is the best even though I love Wes Anderson to no ends because the plot, is so genius. It's simply amazing. Its the kind of movie that you won't know what you're getting into unless you watch it, like Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind. Titles both don't make sense, very unexplainable plot but very very amazing. I've always seen this show on dvd racks in shops but never watched it because Will Ferrel looks so weird. But the shows that I put off watching always turn out to be the best; Little Miss Sunshine, I Am Sam, The Darjeeling Limited and this. Fucking amazing.

This is a Wes Anderson appreciation post.

New favourite director, alongside Judd Apatow and maybe Royston Tan.

He did two of my favourite films, The Fantastic Mr Fox and this, The Darjeeling Limited. Also just watched The Royal Tenenbaums and loved it. His style is so unique. Very quietly colourful. It attracts your attention like a strobe light but doesn't kill you with all the craziness. It's like seeing the moon in the morning. His characters are always so flawed and in a good way and his stories are all about redemption and family stuffs. Right up my alley. & not to forget his scenes are always so abrupt and straight to the point but yet never skimping on details and powerfully poignant. Also love how he always uses the same casts like Owen Wilson, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray.

In short, i have super respect and love for Wes Anderson and his works. The Darjeeling Limited was fantastic. Watched it twice and still really really amazed each time I saw it. From those tiny details like those... fantastic luggages by Marc Jacobs For Louis Vuitton. & that all the ornaments on the train were hand made and decorated, and to the fact that they made the entire train just for the show... and simply the fact that they chose India, which is such a insanely beautiful spicy country.

Super love.

Would really like to go to India someday.

Spent my friday afternoon at a talk by Asif Khan with Minyu at NSM. It was pretty good, though it was about this new pop-up installation at NSM & architecture is not really any of our forte or interests. He had a hard to catch accent because he was from london and he was mumbling so pretty much I was really paying attention because I had to figure out what he was saying. He made really good points and had really great visuals to support so, wowow.

There goes the only ~design~ related thing I've been doing all holiday.

Bought paper at Fancy Paper because the talk went early and I found the perfect hologram paper. Happy as hell! They were so fucking shiny like hallelujah! & some wood engraved paper. Very nice feeling to shop for paper again.

Then playtime!

Met U-Sa and Jonathan for The Change Up, but the night show had lousy seats left so we opted for the midnight show. Dun dun dun. We actually bought What's Your Number but decided to change because The Change Up would obviously be better. I nearly had a fight with the counter girl because she asked us to re-queue again because we were at the "online queue" but that's unfair because the sign was below the counter and how the fuck would we be able to see it? But U-Sa was nice about it and she's so rarely nice about stuffs so i gave it a rest and re-queued.

Dinner at Astons & we walked all the way to Orchard because we had 4 hours to spare.

Changed my old, spoilt Mary Janes to these new T-bars because Jonny wanted to go see Doc Marts to decide whether to be loyal to his favourite Timberland or venture into new horizons and was wearing the Mj's anyway. At the DM store they kept telling me how it's the first time their Mary Janes split and I'm like okay, what you want me to do? You can't blame me for over wearing them because your boots are supposedly made to last right. -_-

Those hurt like a bitch the whole time & we were walking back, so we stopped at a closing Cold Storage and limped to find ~perfect~ plasters while the two talked about condoms. Laughed at how innocent U-Sa because she didn't know whats the difference between sex with and without condom, aw damn. & she's the oldest of us all too. Starbucks slacking & very interesting conversations about relationships.

The Change Up was fucking awesome? Very crude and daring just the way I like it. Titties and Ryan Reynold's face everywhere! Throughout the whole show I was just thinking to myself how can he look so fucking perfect and those legs of his are like WHAAAAT. Sexy as hellll. Loved the cast, so nice to see Michael from Arrested Development swear like a tourettes patient. Very classic plot though but I liked how crude it was, and Ryan Reynold's face.

Then we had supper at Bras Basar's Mac (more walking, poor feet) and unknowingly chatted till 6am. Fun times, haven't really talked that much to them about things that were not work before, fun times.

Took Mrt home and saw the morning sun for the first time in the long while. Very interesting to be going home when others are going out. Good for me I get to go home and sleep sucks for U-Sa and Jonathan they still had to go work. But, my first great weekend without Uniqlo with my Uniqlo friends, super fun.

Slept and woke up at 1 then slept and woke up at 7pm. Had a this crazy dream. Before the talk Minyu and i were talking about school/career stuffs and how we should really take chances and I was already trying to implant this mindset that I was gonna try everything and ride on every opportunity to come. Ironically I had this dream, whereas I was with her & the rest of our friends at some theme park. They were all gonna take this Wet&Wild-esque ride and I was backing out because 1) i'm a pussy and 2) i can't swim and don't wanna get wet. But I took it anyway because I told myself I have to take risks and try everything blah blah blah. Naturally it was a fucking extreme ride, very very fun though. We went through 2 falls and were in this tunnel like those swimming pool slides. While we were on our way to the third fall, this crazy caucasian kid stood up on the ride with swim suit on and screamed, "I'M READY!!" and then we exited this tunnel and this insanely steep down slope lead to THE FUCKING SEA and I remembered going, "I am so fucked" and then I switched dreams.

It's trying to tell me to not try things because I might drown and die in the end? So fucked up. & scary, but I wasn't really scared in the dream, ironically, i didn't even flinch. So now I don't really know, but I guess I'd just still slap them opportunities on their asses and take them home because I'm still young with nothing (much) to lose?

There was a fashion show and I couldn't see anything but there was a model with a huge head & he was claudia's favourite. The one in the picture with the red coat looks like a little like Marina Diamandis and the guy in front of her kept staring at the crowd super ~fiercely~. He looked like he was gonna kill us.

There's these two guy friends in my life who will occasionally react really impatiently when i speak to them as if i'm stupid. Like if i was trying to make a point they will first think that my point doesn't make sense before i even finish. It seems to me like some ego thing because it never happens to female friends.

Isn't it just weird why sometimes there are people who think that others are irrelevant even before they finish? I personally think that these two guy friends of mine are really nice people but there's just certain occasions where I notice that trend and acknowledge it. I don't get angry over it though, because sometimes I don't think when I talk, or make much sense. But that doesn't mean I'm stupid or can't think because I can pretty well.

I'd never think that I'm a stupid person because I can analyze things well and academically I'm anything but stupid. Sometimes I do make good points too. Though I have to admit that I've been using my brain significantly lesser on "important" things like math and science & I have lesser general knowledge than an average person & I don't put on my thinking hat that much but i shouldn't be seen as dumb because i'm not.

I guess it just sucks that people will think that I'm dumb and irrelevant occasionally and its people that I actually like. I can't blame them because it seems like they don't mean it and in almost all occasions they still treat me like a normal respectable person and sometimes I do bring up interesting topics that they have never thought of. Anyway, just a curious observation because its not only on one person but on two totally unrelated individuals.

I quit and I feel so much better now, finally i think my holidays are gonna start!

I skipped work on Sunday and Monday + Today, me and mumma duck spent personal shopping time together.

Everything is so happy and nice. We bought like a lot of stuffs for our taiwan trip this december. 300+ spent in uniqlo haahaha. Bought a winter coat! Super cool and redundant in singapore but it just makes me wanna push harder so I can study overseas. Like me and Claudia planned during the stay over while we were watching The Submarine. We can go study in London together and rent a little room, thrift every weekend and sleep in built shelves over our beds. If we really study in the same university we'd have really spent our entire education together haha cooliossss.

I'm unfortunately bestowed upon this thought about "What did Satan do?"

not what WOULD Satan do, but more about what did he do

that made God hate him so much and send him to hell

when apparently God loves everyone.

and is he actually the ruler of hell?

If yes then why would God let someone he hates rule a place

and why is there even hell

when Jesus already died for everyone's sins

when God forgives everyone

After reading wikis and stuffs I only found out that Satan wanted to be his own god and challenged God...?

But isn't that what God created and planned in Satan because he creates all things and plans their lives?

& God let Judas betray Jesus, with Satan's help, so that he can carry out his revival plan. Thus, does that make Satan God's helper and God a super scheming person/god?

Please enlighten and correct me about all these christianity bull crap

because i have a super bad case of love/hate relationship with christianity

i love it because i hate how ridiculously insane it is

I was re-reading Perks of Being A Wallflower during the arduous dye job at the salon and I read this poem:

Once on a yellow peice of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts
That was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
And let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
with tiny toe nails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of Xs
and he had to as his father what the Xs meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it

Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of its new paint

And the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars

And left butts on the pews
And sometimes they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
And the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
And the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
And his father never tucked him in bed at night
And his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it.

Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
And called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
And that's what it was all about
And his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look

And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
That was the year that Father Tracy died
And he forgot how the end
of the Apostle's Creed went

And he caught his sister
making out in the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
or even talked

And the girl around the corner
wore too much makeup
That made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
because that was the thing to do
And at three A.M. he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly

That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that/s what it was really all about
And he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist

And he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen.

I typed this while holding the book open with my toes
and i love this poem
because it's so true

a great teen poem

Sometimes i wonder if some people who act way too mature for their age or are generally so content with themselves have teen problems about growing up.

Because if they don't have that means they are already having adult problems and isn't that worse.

Attended a industrial talk by Pann Lim today in school.

i finally got my magnum fix!!

been changing lately.

thought magnum sucks. WRONG! now i love it.
thought pancakes/hotcakes were gross because i puked once while eating pancakes on the plane as a kid but. WRONG! now i love it
thought caramel corn was too sweet and kinda weird. WRONG! now i am addicted to it
thought bacon was just salty paper. WRONG! now it makes my world go round

Everything is great when i like new things, it makes life happening for me.

Imagine if I like Tom Yam forever, whats next.

but in my own ironic defense i have been eating Vivo's Banquet's Tom Yam fried fish soup almost every time i work since maybe... 2 months ago so... that is 8 weeks x 2 days at least.

But i really like it! & I like it with SuperDog's Ice tea too so every time i get Tom Yam i get that.

Case senario: I love Coke so much that i drink it everyday but then someday i just decide that I want Sprite and the next moment, TING! It's Sprite fever.

Though with Coke i always go back.

I'm the kind that will think about good times and go back. Sit on the fence, jump over and frolic in other's gardens but I will look back, and go home.

Not with everything though, but definitely always with Coke.

I DIGRESS! In the end im just so happy that i got my magnum fix! now we have 6 double caramel magnums in the fridge, VERY VERY HAPPY! Now only if i also get my mooncake fix then yeyers yeyers yey.

Work always has its redeeming points

but it makes me feel like shit, more and more now

but the only thing left is the right thing.

on another note

while everyone is busy doing the big chunk of school work

i'm busy not doing it.

i don't like research i don't like group work i don't like lynette giving work

she does give good lectures though
